Wednesday continued their unbeaten start against South Yorkshire rivals Doncaster Rovers. This was the first game after the preseason tour in Portugal where the Owls played 3 games, drawing twice and winning once.
Winnall opened the scoring when he got a slight touch on Ross Wallace’s dangerous cross. The Owls seemed dominant from the get go however the hosts were level when Mandeville got ahead of Morgan Fox to head in a cross from the Rovers left back Danny Andrew.
Hooper restored the lead on 67 minutes as Bannan picked out the strikers run, Hooper then lofted the ball over the out rushing Marosi and finished off his own shot after rounding him.
An average game for the fans eyes but game dominated by the owls possession wise.
