So I arrived on around 27 minutes. Better late than never I suppose

Parkgate went close as soon as I paid my fiver on the gate when leftback Bond... Pierce Bond tried his luck from 25 yards with a volley that went inches wide of young Callum Fielding’s goal.

Jake Currie then nearly caught out the keeper with a long ranged snapshot that bobbled all the way and almost over Jepson. And that was all I saw for the first half.

In to the second we went and ex-Tigers youth keeper Sam Jepson was almost on the scoresheet when his freekick from his own half was carried by the strong wind and needed current Tigers youth keeper Fielding to tip over.

Worksop took the lead six minutes after the break when Jordan beat the keeper to the ball and then knocked the ball across the face of goal for Jordan Turner to slide in and poke the ball home.

KJ almost turned provider when he brought the ball down perfectly and saw his strike saved by Jepson, Jepson was then in the right space to block the resulting shot from Turner.

Jepson was called into action again several minutes later as Lee Hill found space 25 yards out and hit a fierce strike towards the bottom corner. Sam Jepson matched his effort and could only parry the ball into the path of Turner who did well to react and shoot first time but his shot hit the post and rolled into the hands of the Parkgate keeper.

Parkgate were in search of an equaliser as Hirst hit the bar after cutting in from the left. Moore controlled the ball and hit a shot towards goal but Fielding got down superbly to keep it out.

Subsequently Parkgate’s pressure paid off as they levelled with ten minutes to go as Hirst and Moore linked up again. Hirst spotted Josh Moore at the back post, Hirst headed across goal into the bottom corner.

However Worksop were again in the lead five minutes later when Jack Barnett’s freekick was flicked on towards goal by Hill, his header fell to Alec Denton who smashed the ball into the roof of the net.

Turner could of extended the lead when Denton broke through on goal. He unselfishly squared the ball to Turner who then rifled the ball against the post. The final whistle went and Hindley’s men won 2-1
